The Wisconsin Department of Transportation oversees planning, building and maintenance of Wisconsin's highway systems, Division of Motor Vehicles and State Patrol. StarrWriter led development and design of the WisDOT Connector blog, opening plenty of exciting opportunities to share the department's many safety and innovation initiatives.  

Starr worked directly with the WisDOT public affairs, web and social media teams to design a blog that tied in well with the department's Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn platforms. Social media messaging drew readers into Connector articles filled with crisp imagery and interesting content. Relevant links within articles lead to related blog articles and other content within the WisDOT website that kept readers on the site longer and engaged in important Wisconsin transportation topics. 

The result was a blog with keyword-rich original content reaching tens of thousands of readers each month. The Connector blog has proven to be the perfect compliment to its social media network, helping the department reach the traveling public with detailed information about its many safety and innovation initiatives.
